Due to extensive renovation, the building of the Neue Pinakothek has been closed for several years. During this time, the Alte Pinakothek will be showing a top-class selection of paintings and sculptures from the extensive collection of 19th-century art. As the title promises, we will take you to important examples of European art. Join us in inspiring the British painter William Turner (1775 - 1851), by whom the Neue Pinakothek owns an outstanding late painting. Caspar David Friedrich, Édouard Manet, Claude Monet and Paul Gauguin are other well-known names you will encounter. Our tour ends with the world-famous "Sunflowers" created by the Dutchman Vincent van Gogh (1853 – 1890) a few years before his death in Arles, southern France.
Meetingpoint: Alte Pinakothek | Foyer. Audience: Erwachsene, Familien, Jugendliche, Senioren. Language: English.
